The application presents useful and interesting information about the red-bellied toad, Caspian marsh turtle and 9 species of bats - Horseshoe bat (Rhinilophus mehelyi), Southern horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus euryale), Mediterranean horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus blasii) (Miniopterus schreibersii), long-toed nightingale (Myotis capaccinii), long-toed nightingale (Myotis myotis), broad-eared bat (Barbastella barbastellus), long-eared nightingale (Myotis bechsteinii).The application was developed under the project "Habitat Sakar" GBG16M10P002-3.028-0001-С01.
The project is aimed at improving the conservation status of species subject to protection of protected areas BG0001032 "Rhodopes - Eastern", BG0000212 "Sakar", BG0000217 "Tundzha River Gorge" and BG0000578 "Maritsa River", on the territory of LAG Svilengrad Area mentioned above.The grant amounts to BGN 4,572,665.75, of which 15% (BGN 685,899.86) is national and 85% (BGN 3,886,765.89) is European co-financing.The project is funded by the Operational Program "Environment 2014 - 2020", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union, priority axis "NATURA 2000 and Biodiversity" under the procedure "Improving the conservation status of species in the Natura 2000 network through the approach CLLD on the territory of the Svilengrad Area-2 LAG ”.The project is implemented in partnership between the beneficiaries Association "Science of Nature" and the Municipality of Svilengrad.
